MAFA Industri Big is a Swedish-manufactured silo designed for industrial bioenergy facilities where operational reliability and long service life are essential. The construction is made from durable steel sheet coated with aluminum and zinc, providing strong corrosion protection and a significantly longer lifespan than traditional galvanization—ideal for storing plastic granules and powdered materials.
The smooth interior ensures efficient discharge and minimizes downtime, while the standard model handles materials with bulk density up to 750 kg/m³. For heavier biofuel or specific process requirements, the silo can be reinforced to handle higher loads.

MAFA Industri Big is a Swedish-manufactured silo designed for industrial bioenergy systems, ranging from large pellet storage to facilities handling wood powder. The silo is built for operational reliability, long service life, and easy integration into existing systems. The roof has a 12° slope, allowing the installation of platforms, penetrations, or top-of-silo filters.
For optimal safety, the silo can be connected to a cyclone for efficient air venting without condensation, and ATEX-compliant filling is available for wood powder.
Manufactured from high-quality steel sheet with an aluminum-zinc coating, the silo offers robust corrosion protection and a longer service life than traditionally galvanized steel. The smooth interior, combined with special bolts and a steep cone, ensures efficient emptying of pellets and wood powder.
With a wide range of auger boxes and the ability to customize the silo’s size according to the desired storage volume, the MAFA Industri Big can be seamlessly integrated into all types of bioenergy systems.
