MAFA Industry Big – IB

Swedish-made silo for industrial bioenergy storage

MAFA Industri Big is a Swedish-made silo developed for industrial bioenergy facilities where reliability and long service life are essential. Its construction is based on durable steel plate with an aluminum-zinc coating, providing strong corrosion protection and significantly longer service life than traditional galvanization – ideal for storing pellets and wood powder.

The smooth interior ensures efficient discharge and minimizes operational downtime, while the standard model handles materials with a bulk density of up to 750 kg/m³. For heavier biofuels or specific process requirements, the silo can be adapted for higher loads.

MAFA Industri Big:

Built for industrial-scale bioenergy plants

MAFA Industri Big is a Swedish-produced silo designed for industrial bioenergy systems, from large pellet storage to facilities handling wood powder. The silo is built for reliability, long service life, and easy integration into existing systems. The roof has a 12° pitch, allowing for installation of platforms, penetrations, or top filters. For optimal safety, the silo can be connected to a cyclone for efficient aeration without condensation, and ATEX-compliant filling is available for wood powder.

Manufactured from high-quality steel plate with an aluminum-zinc coating, the silo provides robust corrosion protection and longer service life than traditionally galvanized steel. The smooth interior, special bolts, and steep cone ensure efficient discharge of pellets and wood powder.

With a wide range of auger boxes and the ability to customize the silo size to the desired storage volume, MAFA Industri Big can be seamlessly integrated into all types of bioenergy systems. This makes the silo a versatile, future-proof, and reliable choice for efficient, dependable, and quality-assured handling of biofuel.
